The only thing Happy Trails likes better than making mountain bike singletrack is making mountain bike singletrack in our backyard. Snaking its way around a heavily forested loop on a south facing hillside, this trail strikes a balance between squiggly singletrack and bermed turns. In constructing this trail, Happy Trails has joined many other trail builders in inventing methods of sustainable trail construction compatible with the insloped turns and non-stop flow craved by mountain bikers. The videos say it all:
This project was the brainchild of Joel Buth at Goldstream Sports and was facilitated by Geoff Orth of Alaska Trails. Many other Fairbanksans put a lot of time, sweat and blood into the trail as well.
