The only thing Happy Trails likes better than making mountain bike singletrack is making mountain bike singletrack in our backyard. This project is the first phase of what Alaska Trails and others hope will be a whole system of singletrack trail on Ester Dome near Fairbanks. As it snakes its way around a heavily forested loop on a south facing hillside, this trail is a lot of fun.
This project was the brainchild of Joel Buth at Goldstream Sports and was facilitated by Geoff Orth of Alaska Trails. Many other Fairbanksans put a lot of time, sweat and blood into the trail as well. |
